Before the lesson
You will find the relevant history unit available for download above, however this lesson could apply to any unit of work related to Australian History.
This lesson should occur after students have been introduced to the History unit and have begun to acquire some of the historical words required for the unit.
The creation of a word wall displayed in a highly visible location is recommended.
Students should be exposed to a few different sources of information related to Australian History and have engaged with narratives regarding the history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and European exploration and colonisation in Australia.
Create your free Padlet account and familiarise yourself with the function of the wall. You will need to use your email address and have a password that you are prepared to share with the students.
